Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“Crime and punishment” is one of my favorite books. This book consists of 576 pages. Seems many pages but when you complete reading it you will ask for more. I read it last month and rated it five stars.
It’s a masterpiece. I loved this book. It was the first time I read Russian classic literature by one of the prominent Russian authors Fyodor Dostoyevsky. While reading sometimes I find this novel depressing but as I was reading and reading, I was loving it more. At first, it seems to be boring for me but gradually my interest develop in it and I completed reading it. This book is about human nature. How a person sinned and then suffer as long as he admits it. It’s deeply about humans and how we preferred to live our lives.
This book is a profound study and amazing analysis of a man who commits a crime and how he is punished for it. The title of the book is simply crime and punishment but when you read it, when you get into it you’ll find much more. There is so much into this book about human nature, and conscience. The author has created complex characters but this book takes the reader deep inside the minds of the characters. A very good classic read. This is one of my favorite quotes from the book:
“The darker the night, the brighter the stars, The deeper the grief, the closer is God!”

Aphorisms from the book – The Fifth Mountain by Paulo Coelho

Do not forget about your dream. Even if sometimes you are sure that other people and the whole world are stronger than you. The secret is this: do not give up.

She was free, for love gives freedom.

God can do anything. If He did only what we call Good, we could
not call Him Almighty; He would reign in only one part of the flax, and
someone more powerful than He would follow His works and judge them In
that case, I would begin to worship the One who is more powerful.

Human souls, like rivers and plants, also need
rain. A special rain is hope, faith and the meaning of life. If there is no rain, everything in the soul dies, although the body still lives. People can say: “Once lived in this body person.”

A person must go through various trials before he can fulfill his destiny.

All battles are needed in life in order to teach us something, even those that we lose.

The Lord requires from people only that which lies within the limits of
everyone’s abilities.

My life has always been the way I myself wanted to see.

If the old life oppresses you, quickly forget about it. Think up a new
story of your life and believe in it. Remember only about your victories, and this will help you achieve what you want.

Some events must be experienced, for this is what the gods want.

A person must choose, not accept his fate.

Power of Positive Thinking is best book for getting inspiration and motivation towards life

Hello! My WordPress fam! ❤ Hope you all are enjoying your life. Today, I am sharing the book review of an inspirational and motivational book “The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale.” My review was published in Daily Times Reviews.

The power of positive thinking is bedrock for fostering a positive mindset. This book is a satisfactory example of the power of the human spirit. This book will manifest you that the fundamental of success sprawl in the mind, It will enlighten you break the bad habits, how to believe in yourself and apprise you how to take control of your life by taking control of your thoughts and changing your attitude. On the occasion of the printing of the two millionth copy, he said, “At the time I wrote this book, it never occurred to me that a two-millionth copy anniversary would ever be observed. Frankly, however, my gratitude for this event is not from the viewpoint of books sold, but in terms of the many persons to whom I have been privileged to suggest a simple, workable philosophy of living.”

This book is purely written to propound techniques and to give examples which exhibit that you do not need to be defeated by anything, that you can have peace of mind, good health, and an everlasting life flow of energy. In short, your life can be full of pleasure and gratification. This book is solely a practical, self-improvement manual. It is written with the sole objective of helping the readers achieve a happy, prosperous and pleasurable life.

Mainly, the book consists of seventeen parts that are responsible for the shift in the mood of the book. The book is written in a way that in every part it relates the real-life experience, each time a new story of a man who is facing multiple problems in life and how the narrative is suggesting solutions that also relate our life to live a happy, satisfying and prosperous life.

“At the time I wrote this book, it never occurred to me that a two-millionth copy anniversary would ever be observed. Frankly, however, my gratitude for this event is not from the viewpoint of books sold, but in terms of the many persons to whom I have been privileged to suggest a simple, workable philosophy of living.

This book is a great source of learning life lessons. I have share the 5 lessons that I have learned from the book to think more positively.

1. Start everything with confidence and be confident in whatever you’re doing this will help you to be focused on your tasks.

2. If you want to live a happy and positive life the first thing you have to do for this is to change your thinking, make it free of worries and always think positive to enrich your mind with optimism.

3. Always believe in yourself and visualize yourself as a successful person because one day you will be the person you believe to be.

4. Have faith in God. Believe that he is with you and passing guidance and blessing towards you.

5. Nothing is impossible in life with hard work, consistency, and firm faith in Almighty Allah.

Norman Vincent has suggested a valuable and the efficacious formula for living a happy life. He said that “The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Scatter sunshine, forget self, think of others. Try this for a week and you will be surprised.”

I would recommend this book to everyone for their self-development and especially to those who are worriers and face obstacles in life at every stage as well as those who have a habit of over-thinking and are pessimists.

The Forty Rules Of Love|Every true love and friendship is a story of unexpected transformation…

Every true love and friendship is a story of an unexpected transformation. If we are the same person before and after we loved, that means haven’t loved enough.

Have you ever come across a book that changed your life and becomes a part of your life as the best book. People fell in love with things and whatever. Here, I have fallen in love with Words. I just really love the book The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak. It is the best book I have ever read that teaches me what true love is. This book is the mesmerizing tale of religious, love and spirituality wrote by Elif Shafak. I like the book-cover it’s really beautiful and attractive. It’s “a gorgeous, jeweled, luxurious book.”

The best thing about the book is the forty rules of love. Every rule gives a new lesson about life that you can relate with. Every rule is best in its own way. Actually, I love all the rules. Here I have shared my fav rules:

“The whole universe is contained within a single human being—you. Everything that you see around, including the things you might not be fond of and even the people you despise or abhor, is present within you in varying degrees. Therefore, do not look for Sheitan outside yourself either. The devil is not an extraordinary force that attacks from without. It is an ordinary voice within. If you get to know yourself fully, facing with honesty and hardness both your dark and bright sides, you will arrive at a supreme form of consciousness. When a person knows himself or herself, he or she knows God.”

A life without love is of no account. Don’t ask yourself what kind of love you should seek, spiritual or material, divine or mundane, eastern or western…divisions only lead to more divisions. Love has no labels, no definitions. It is what it is, pure and simple. Love is the water of life. And a lover is a soul of fire! The universe turns differently when fire loves water.

I’ll recommend you all to read this book. You’ll surely enjoy reading it. If you’re the lover of Rumi and mystic tales this book is best for you.

Much Love! ❤

Book Review – The Old Man and The Sea

The hell with Luck I’ll bring the Luck with me.

The Old Man and the Sea was a big success for Ernest Hemingway when it was published in 1952. At first glance, the story appears to be a simple tale of an old Cuban fisherman who catches an enormous fish, only to lose it. But, there’s much more to the story — a tale of bravery and heroism, of one man’s struggle against his own doubts, the elements, a massive fish, sharks and even his desire to give up. The old man eventually succeeds, then fails, and then wins again. It’s the story of perseverance and the machismo of the old man against the elements. This slim novella — it’s only 127 pages — helped to revive Hemingway’s reputation as a writer, winning him great acclaim, including the Nobel Prize for literature.

A man can be destroyed but not defeated.

This is a simple story with deep lessons “Success” is all too often assumed to be the indicator of the value of a man. But success, in and of itself, merely speaks to a particular status and may have nothing to do with the journey that the man took to get there, or whether or not he retained his integrity along the way. Among the many aspects of the story, it is the idea of redefining success and victory that makes The Old Man and the Sea, Ernest Hemingway’s classic novella, so profound.

A man is not made for defeat.

A man does not depend on luck! A man bears pain and hardship without complaint.
